Privacy Policy
Our Constitution guarantees the secrecy and freedom of private life and communications as a fundamental right of the people. Therefore, the act of eavesdropping or monitoring to obtain personal information or invade privacy is, in principle, illegal. However, due to the widespread problem of illegal wiretapping and information leakage, serious human rights violations are occurring, and individuals' freedom to form a private life is being threatened.
In order to fundamentally eliminate these potential infringements of basic rights and to protect the privacy of C&M PLUS members, thereby guaranteeing freedom of communication in the information society, we declare the following Privacy Policy. The C&M PLUS Privacy Policy may change according to government laws or guidelines and C&M PLUS’s internal policy changes. Please check periodically when visiting the C&M PLUS website.
1. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information
The purpose of collecting personal information from C&M PLUS members is to provide the most optimized and personalized services through the C&M PLUS website. C&M PLUS provides both free and paid content services. Based on the personal information you provide, we can selectively offer you more useful information.
C&M PLUS also displays advertisements to provide various services. Even in such cases, we can deliver more valuable and relevant advertisements by utilizing personal information.
2. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection
C&M PLUS collects only the most essential personal information when you first sign up to provide services. The information collected during registration includes ID, NICKNAME, NAME, E-MAIL, PHONE, ADDRESS, TEL, etc.
In addition, to provide specific services, we may request additional information.
For example, we may ask for a mobile phone number for real-name verification or other additional information necessary for service provision. We may also request information for statistical analysis or prize delivery during surveys or events. In all such cases, the information you provide will not be used for any purpose other than the one previously disclosed.
3. Retention and Disposal of Personal Information
While you are a member of C&M PLUS and using its services, your personal information will be retained and used by C&M PLUS to provide services. However, if you delete your ID or request to withdraw as explained in Section 7 (“Viewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Personal Information”), or if the purpose for which your information was collected has been achieved, your personal information will be permanently deleted from the hard disk using an irreversible method and will not be accessible or used for any purpose thereafter.
4. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information
In principle, C&M PLUS does not disclose members' personal information to others, companies, or organizations. However, exceptions may be made if the member agrees to disclosure, or if there are sufficient grounds to believe that disclosure is necessary to take legal action against individuals who violate the Terms of Service, cause harm to others, or engage in unethical acts through the use of C&M PLUS services.
C&M PLUS may share personal information with business partners to provide better services. In such cases, we will inform members in advance who the partner is, what information is needed, why it is required, and how it will be protected and managed, and obtain consent. If you do not agree, no information will be collected or shared.
Even when displaying or sending advertisements to specific demographic groups (e.g., women in their 20s), personal information is not disclosed to advertisers. For statistical analysis, academic research, or market research purposes, data will only be provided in a form that cannot identify individuals.
5. Use of Cookies
To provide personalized and customized services to each member, C&M PLUS uses cookies that store and retrieve your information. A cookie is a small data package sent from the web server to the user’s browser and stored on the user’s hard disk.
To use personalized or customized services after logging in to C&M PLUS, you must allow cookies. C&M PLUS uses cookies to identify your ID information and provide appropriate and useful services.
Cookies are also used to measure user traffic and usage frequency (both for members and non-members), to assist with product purchases, authentication, and participation tracking in events or surveys.
Through cookies, C&M PLUS can analyze user behavior to improve usability and service quality.
You can choose whether to accept cookies through your web browser settings: accept all cookies, receive confirmation each time, or reject all cookies. However, if you reject cookies, you may not be able to use services requiring login at C&M PLUS.
6. Technical and Institutional Management for Privacy Protection
Your personal information is protected by a password. Only you know your password, and only you can check or change your personal information. Therefore, do not share your password with anyone. After completing your session, it is recommended to log out and close your browser. This is especially important if you are using a shared or public computer to prevent your personal data from being exposed to others.
C&M PLUS uses antivirus software to prevent damage caused by computer viruses. These programs are regularly updated, and new viruses are addressed immediately upon discovery.
To prevent data breaches through hacking, we use firewalls and intrusion detection systems to monitor and block unauthorized access 24/7. Systems and data are regularly backed up to prevent information loss.
C&M PLUS limits the number of employees handling personal information, conducts frequent training, and performs audits to ensure compliance. If violations are found, immediate corrective actions are taken.
7. Viewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Personal Information
You may view or correct your registered personal information at any time and request to delete your ID.
If you have any complaints or opinions regarding personal information, please contact our Privacy Manager at cnm@cnmplus.com. We will promptly take action and notify you of the results.
8. Protection of Children’s Personal Information
Children under the age of 14 should not send their personal information to others without the consent of their parents.
Members are responsible for maintaining the security of their passwords. C&M PLUS will never ask for your password by email or any other means. Please never share your password. When logged in, be cautious not to expose personal information to others around you.
