Prof. Sang-kyun Kim: South Korea’s Leading Expert in the Metaverse

Prof. Sang-kyun Kim is widely recognized as the nation’s foremost authority on the Metaverse. With a diverse academic background spanning Robotics, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, and Educational Technology, he explores the intersection of these fields to drive human engagement and immersion. His research focuses on Gamification—applying the core elements of games and play to real-world scenarios—and the Metaverse, where physical reality seamlessly coexists with digital-based virtual worlds.

A highly sought-after advisor for numerous global corporations and government institutions, Prof. Kim is a prominent figure in the media and a frequent keynote speaker, leading the national discourse on the future of virtual integration. He currently serves as a Professor at the Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Business.
