Sae-hoon Kim: Korea’s Foremost Expert in Fuel Cell Technology

Vice President Sae-hoon Kim possesses the highest level of expertise in the fuel cell sector in Korea and is responsible for enhancing the leading competitiveness of future electrification businesses. He is recognized for cultivating his leadership during his 18-year tenure at Hyundai Motor Company, where he spearheaded the development of fuel cell technologies.

Born in 1966, Vice President Kim earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

Having served as the Head of the Fuel Cell Development Group (Sanmgu/VP), Head of the Fuel Cell Division (Jeonmu/SVP), and Vice President of the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Department at Hyundai Motor Company, he currently serves as an Executive Advisor to the company.
