Sang-wook Kim: A Physicist Who Finds Joy in Sharing Knowledge
He graduated with a degree in physics from KAIST and earned his Ph.D. from the same university with a dissertation on "Relativistic Chaos and Quantum Localization of Chaotic Systems." After serving as a researcher at POSTECH, KAIST, and the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Germany, he held positions as a BK Assistant Professor at Seoul National University and a professor in the Department of Physics Education at Pusan National University. Since 2018, he has been a professor in the Department of Physics at Kyung Hee University.
His research focuses on the physics that occurs at the boundary between classical and quantum mechanics. He finds happiness in sharing knowledge with others and firmly believes that the more science is widely shared, the more scientific thinking will take root in society, ultimately making the world a happier place.
His major publications include "Kim Sang-wook's Science Study", "Kim Sang-wook's Quantum Study", and "Vibrations and Resonances".
Recently, he has been taking the lead in the popularization of science and expanding communication with the public through tvN's broadcast programs <The New Job to Use> and <Reading a Book>.
