Startup Expert and Venture Capitalist
Co-CEO Lim Jung-wook served as the managing director of Korea Startup Alliance, a private-public partnership network, for six years starting in 2013. He has been hailed as South Korea's representative startup expert, playing a leading role in the development of the domestic startup ecosystem.
Previously, Lim worked at the Chosun Ilbo as a journalist and held positions in the Management Planning Office, as the Internet Planning Manager for Chosun.com, and as the Foreign Language News Manager. He also served as the CEO of Chosun Ilbo JNS (Japanese edition). Later, he moved to Daum Communications, where he held several key roles, including Head of Service Innovation, Head of External Affairs, and Head of the Global Center.
Lim has also contributed significantly to fostering public-private cooperation for startups, serving as a private-sector member of the first Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and as an outside director for both the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) and Hyundai AutoEver, as well as a board member of Open Net.
His publications include I Am a Curious Observer, Witnesses of Innovation (Co-author), and the Korean translation of Inside Apple.
