The Designing Entrepreneur, Founder of Korea’s No. 1 Delivery App "Baedal Minjok"

Bong-jin Kim graduated from Seoul Institute of the Arts with a degree in Interior Design and completed his Master’s course in Visual Design at Kookmin University’s Graduate School of Design. After working as a designer at companies such as Emotion, Neowiz, and Naver, he founded Woowa Brothers Corp. in 2010 with the development of the "Baedal Minjok" app service. Currently, he manages brands including Baedal Minjok, Baemin Riders, Baemin Fresh, Baemin Cook, and Baemin Kitchen, redesigning food-related culture through technology.

As Woowa Brothers—the operator of Korea's leading delivery app—was acquired by the German delivery giant Delivery Hero (DH), the career of the 43-year-old "designing entrepreneur" Bong-jin Kim, who built a homegrown delivery app into a company valued at 4.75 trillion KRW, is receiving renewed attention. This M&A stands as the largest in the history of Korean internet company acquisitions.

He is also the author of several books, including "How to Read Books Well" and "Youth Start-up, Start with 8 Books"
