Bob Woodward is an internationally acclaimed journalist who rose to global prominence for exposing the Watergate scandal in 1973. He currently serves as an Associate Editor at The Washington Post, where he has worked since 1971.
Woodward has received nearly every major American journalism award. He shared a Pulitzer Prize in 1973 with Carl Bernstein for their investigative reporting on the Watergate scandal. In 2002, he was the lead reporter for the Post's coverage of the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, which earned the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting.
Renowned for his unparalleled reputation in investigative political journalism, Woodward provides an intimate yet sweeping portrayal of Washington's inner workings. He has authored 19 books, 13 of which have become #1 national bestsellers. His 2018 book, Fear: Trump in the White House, sold over 1.1 million copies in its first week and nearly 2 million copies across print and audiobook formats.
Bob Schieffer of CBS News has stated, "Woodward has established himself as the best reporter of our time. He may be the best reporter of all time." The Weekly Standard called him "perhaps the best pure reporter of his generation," and in 2003, Al Hunt of The Wall Street Journal described him as "the most celebrated journalist of our age." TIME magazine, in listing the 100 best non-fiction books of all time, referred to Woodward and Bernstein’s All the President’s Men as "perhaps the most influential piece of journalism in history."
