Jim Rogers (James Beeland Rogers Jr.) is an American businessman and financial analyst residing in Singapore. Rogers is the Chairman of Rogers Holdings and Beeland Interests, Inc. He was the co-founder of the Quantum Fund and Soros Fund Management. He is also the founder of the RICI (Rogers International Commodities Index).

 

Rogers does not consider himself a member of any specific economic school of thought but acknowledges that his views best align with the Austrian School of Economics. In 1964, Rogers earned a history degree from Yale University. He secured his first job on Wall Street at Dominick and Dickerman. In 1966, Rogers obtained a second bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University as a member of Balliol College.
