An economist by training, Shawn DuBravac served for over 12 years as the Chief Economist for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which represents more than 2,000 consumer technology companies and is the owner and producer of CES.
In his book, Digital Destiny: How the New Age of Data Will Transform the Way We Work, Live, and Communicate, he demonstrates how the global adoption of digital technology signals the dawn of a new era for humanity across the realms of business, healthcare, finance, transportation, and culture.

 

DuBravac writes extensively on disruptive technological change and has been widely published on the topics of technology, finance, and economics. His analysis is frequently featured in major media outlets and broadcasts, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, The Washington Post, Wired, Los Angeles Times, Barron's, Ad Age, CNBC, Bloomberg, NPR, and CBS.

 

He was the founding director of the CTA Foundation and has served on the boards of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the Conference of Business Economists in Washington, D.C. He has taught at the George Washington University School of Business, American University’s Kogod School of Business, George Mason University School of Business, Marymount University School of Business, and the University of Mary Washington. He holds degrees in economics from Brigham Young University and George Mason University.
