Global Innovator Bridging Technology Management and the Startup Ecosystem
Professor Taeyong Yang is a Professor at the Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management at KAIST and serves as the Director of the KAIST Center for Entrepreneurship. He majored in Industrial Engineering at Seoul National University and earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Subsequently, he was appointed as a tenured professor at the University of Houston, where he also served as the President of the Southwest Chapter of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) and the Principal of the Korean School of Houston.
After returning to Korea, he held professorships at the Information and Communications University (ICU) and KAIST. While at ICU, he served as the Head of the School of Business, and at KAIST, he established the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management while serving as a professor in the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering and the School of Innovation and Technology Management. Currently, he is a member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) and is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders through his research and education on corporate innovation, technology ventures, and the startup ecosystem in Korea.
