Professor Hee-soon Jang graduated from Konkuk University and earned a Ph.D. in International Development from Kobe University in Japan. Since 2002, he has served as a professor in the Department of Real Estate at Kangwon National University.

His teaching and research areas include real estate theory, real estate development, real estate consulting, and appraisal theory. He is currently active as a member of the Urban Development Committee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Land Expropriation Committee of Gangwon-do. He also serves as the 9th President of the Korea Housing and Environment Society.

His major publications include Introduction to Real Estate Studies (2012), Real Estate Strategies for Creating Corporate Value (2011), and Systematic Theory of Real Estate Studies.
