South Korea's Leading Expert in Chinese Economy and Finance

Jeon Byeongseo worked as an analyst and IB (Investment Banking) banker for 25 years, serving as Managing Director at Daewoo Securities and Executive Vice President at Hanwha Investment & Securities. In the financial sector, he specialized as a semiconductor and IT industry analyst, researching the IT sectors of the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

During his tenure in Investment Banking, he pioneered China Research and led the listing of Chinese companies on the Korean exchange for the first time in the domestic IB industry. He also managed Chinese ship financing and real estate investment projects.

He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China's political capital, and holds both an MBA and a Ph.D. in Management from Fudan University in Shanghai, the country's economic capital. Having completed CEO programs at Tsinghua University (School of Economics and Management), Fudan University (School of Management), and Jiao Tong University (Antai College of Economics and Management), he maintains an extensive network with various business leaders in Beijing and Shanghai. He previously worked at Hanwha Investment Advisory in Shanghai and the China Economic and Financial Center, and served as a consultant for the Shanghai China Desk.

Currently, he serves as the Director of the China Economic and Financial Research Institute (established by WISEfn). He is also a visiting professor for the China MBA program at Kyung Hee University, an adjunct professor for the Leader MBA at Chung-Ang University, and an invited professor for the Tsinghua University CEO program, where he lectures on the Chinese economy, Chinese finance, the Chinese stock market, and Chinese business case studies.
